Privacy Policy

Luna Relax ("Luna", "we", "us") is a wellness companion app for mood check-ins, journaling, gentle AI conversations, breathing, nature sounds and guided meditation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Luna is a supportive companion, not a medical service or a substitute for professional care.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address and display name when you sign up (including via Google or Apple sign-in).
• Wellness content you create: mood logs, journal entries, conversations with Luna, and session/streak progress.
• Preferences: language, reminder time and voice settings.
• Subscription data: plan and status, processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your full card details.
• Technical data: basic, privacy-respecting diagnostics to keep the app reliable.

How we use your information

• Provide and personalize your calm experience.
• Generate AI responses — the information you submit is sent to our AI providers solely to produce a reply (see “AI features and third-party AI processing” below).
• Sync your subscription and unlock premium features.
• Send the reminders you opt into.

AI features and third-party AI processing

Luna Relax’s AI features (the “Talk to Luna” companion, including voice input and Luna’s spoken replies) are powered by the Lovable AI Gateway, which processes requests using Google Gemini models for chat replies and OpenAI models for speech-to-text transcription and text-to-speech. These are third-party AI services acting as our processors.

What is shared: the chat messages you type, voice recordings you make and the transcripts produced from them, the text of Luna’s replies (sent to the voice service), your display name, and a short summary of your recent in-app activity (recent conversation turns, recent mood check-ins and journal titles) that is used to give Luna context.

Why: solely to generate the AI response and provide the functionality you asked for. This data is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Your consent: before your first message, voice recording or other information is sent to these services, the app asks for your explicit consent. If you decline, the AI features stay switched off and nothing is transmitted. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → AI data sharing; withdrawing consent immediately disables the AI features.

How our AI providers protect your information: according to the providers’ published API terms, requests travel over encrypted (TLS) connections and are sent from our secure backend — never directly from your device to the AI provider. Data submitted through the API tiers we use is processed to generate your response and is not used to train their general-purpose models. Providers may retain request data for a limited period for abuse monitoring and service operation, and delete it after that period in line with their own retention policies. We send no email address, account identifier or payment data to the AI providers — only your display name, your messages or audio, and a short activity summary. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or health information in AI conversations. Our AI providers process and may retain data according to their own policies and applicable retention or abuse-monitoring practices; we do not claim that this data is deleted immediately, anonymized, or excluded from any provider processing.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf — secure cloud hosting and database (Lovable Cloud), the AI providers that generate replies and process voice (Lovable AI Gateway, routing to Google Gemini and OpenAI), and the app stores that process subscriptions (Apple App Store, Google Play) — under confidentiality obligations.

Data retention & your rights

Your content is kept while your account is active. You can edit or delete entries in the app, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. You may also request access or deletion by contacting us.

Deleting your account removes your stored conversations from Luna Relax. Any residual copy held by an AI provider for abuse monitoring or service operation is deleted on that provider’s own retention schedule, which we do not control.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls so only you (and the systems serving you) can read your content.

Children

Luna Relax is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
